February 28, 2005 by Jeff Shepard

GE Energy (Atlanta, GA), a leading supplier of power generation and energy delivery technology, announced that it is supplying its solar energy equipment to Rieger Homes for use in the Chadeayne Woods residential development in Cornwall, NY.

GE Energy is providing 2.64 kW roof-mounted, solar-electric systems featuring GEPV165-M solar power modules as options for 16 homes in the Chadeayne Woods development. The solar modules are connected to the utility’s power grid network and the solar-generated power is sent to the homes’ utility meter. Each GE Energy GEPV165-M solar power module generates a peak power of 165 W at 25 V. The project’s total solar power output is expected to be about 3,050 kWh annually.

"GE is committed to providing residential home builders and future homeowners with safe, reliable solar technologies that will serve them well for decades to come," said GE Energy’s Solar Technologies Division General Manager Ali Iz.
