Fairchild Semiconductor International (South Portland, ME) announced the company’s power switch products, the FPS™, have won the Best Product award in the Semiconductor Technology Development competition. This event is organized by the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association and is sponsored by the ministry of Industry, Commerce and Energy in Korea.
The annual competition is designed to encourage the development of semiconductor-related products while accelerating innovation, and was held in conjunction with the Sixth Semiconductor and Display Exhibition Korea in Seoul. Fairchild’s power switch products are used in a broad range of applications that include battery chargers and adapters, mobile phones, PDAs, MP3 players, color TVs, monitors, and auxiliary power for PCs.
