Fairchild Semiconductor Cited for Environmental Preservation

Fairchild Semiconductor International Inc. (South Portland, ME) announced that the company has received an award for environmental preservation and water protection in South Korea. The award was provided in conjunction with the annual World Water Day festivities and presented to Fairchild by South Korea’s Minister of the Environment, Kwuak Geolho.

"Fairchild’s Bucheon team has an excellent history of establishing and meeting environmental management requirements and exceeding water protection goals," said “Fairchild Director of Corporate Environmental Health and Safety Karl Albrecht. "Fairchild globally is resolved to maintaining the highest environmental standards, which we have demonstrated again with this latest commendation. This award recognizes the high standards we’ve set for the company and the exceptional attention to the environment of our Bucheon employees. We’re honored to receive this certificate for our efforts in Korea."
