Fairchild Semiconductor International (San Jose, CA) announced that Samsung Electro Mechanics (SEM, Korea) has selected its ML4824 power-factor correction (PFC)/pulse-width modulation (PWM) controller-combo IC for use in new switch-mode power supply designs targeted for plasma display panel and high-power PC applications.
