Fairchild Announces Changes in Finance Organization

Fairchild Semiconductor International Inc. (South Portland, ME) announced that Matthew Towse has resigned his position as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Towse will remain with the company in an advisory role until December 31, 2005, to help ensure a smooth transition. Vice President and Corporate Controller Robin Sawyer and Vice President of Business Finance Stephen Cumming will assume the duties of the CFO's office, with Sawyer serving as interim Principal Financial Officer until a search for a new CFO is completed.

"Matt has been with the company in a number of financial roles for over 14 years, and the company recognizes Matt's dedication, commitment, and contributions to the company during this time. We wish Matt and his family all the best," said President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Thompson.
