Evergreen Solar Inc. (Marlboro, MA), a developer, marketer and manufacturer of photovoltaic products, announced that Evergreen Solar Chairman of the Board Brown Williams has resigned from the board in order to become Vice President, Research and Development of the company.
"I am pleased to have Brown assume the role of Vice President, Research and Development, where we can take full advantage of his impressive credentials - a doctorate in physics, avocation as a scientist and immense talents as an inventor," said President and Chief Executive Officer Richard Feldt. "As I have stated during the past few quarters, our strategy is to add bandwidth to support our growth plans, and naming Brown to head research and development is another step in that process."
