Baldor Offers New Motion Intelligence Newsletter

November 17, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Baldor Electric Co. (Fort Smith, AR) announced the publication of its new free newsletter, Motion Intelligence, which focuses on trends in motion control. To help automation designers appreciate the potential benefits of advanced techniques such as the use of multi-tasking and active-x controls, the publication draws heavily on real-life applications.

Among the application examples detailed in the new first issue are a multi-station process with over 70 axes of control for automating the winding and assembly of electric motors, a fabric-cutting machine that cuts complex shapes using a blade that is automatically oriented in real-time, and a flow-wrapping machine for chocolate bars.

Motion Intelligence also incorporates technology articles and product insights. The first issue includes a feature offering tips for reducing motion control system costs. Free copies are available through the company's website.
