Avista Board Elects Don Kopczynski Vice President

The board of directors of Avista Corp. (Spokane, WA) has elected Don Kopczynski vice president, with responsibilities for the company's electric and natural gas transmission and distribution operations. In his new role, Kopczynski will be responsible for all aspects of energy delivery for Avista Utilities' 325,000 electric and 300,000 natural gas customers.

"Don brings years of leadership experience along with strong operational and technical expertise to our management team," said Gary Ely, Avista board chairman, president and chief executive officer. "His leadership skills will be an asset as we invest in infrastructure to meet our region's future energy needs, and as we look for ways to serve our customers more effectively and efficiently to ensure they continue to receive the best value for their energy dollar."
