Advanced Analogic Technologies Inc. (AnalogicTech, Sunnyvale, CA), a developer of power management solutions, announced that it has been certified by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. as an Eco-Partner Affiliate Company in its Green Procurement Program. Eco-Partners are suppliers that have fulfilled Samsung’s standards for establishing an ongoing environmental quality control system, which is defined as the "green procurement" of raw materials, parts and packaging materials that do not contain hazardous substances, including cadmium, lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, PBBs and PBDEs.
"This certification from Samsung builds on our existing commitment to provide OEMs with the environmentally friendly devices they need," stated AnalogicTech Operations Vice President Allen Lam. "Every device in our product portfolio is already available in lead-free packaging. By meeting the stringent requirements of the Samsung program, we are well prepared to adhere to future environmental protection policies throughout the world."
