Amber Solutions Looks to Make Digital Control of Electricity a Reality

August 26, 2020 by Stephanie Leonida

Amber Solutions seeks further product development, signing one Letter of Intent with revenue and six Memorandums of Understanding with world-leading electronics manufacturers.

Amber Solutions develops a range of breakthrough patented and UL certified technologies that incorporate solid-state architecture, a revolutionary solution that is set to transform the electrical product industry worldwide.

Products and technology offered by Amber include its alternating current/ direct current (AC/DC) Enabler and AC Switch, ground fault sensing, and (light-emitting diode) LED drivers. These technologies can introduce digital control of electricity in solid-state architecture in every device, appliance, power cord, and electrical endpoint in buildings to customers everywhere.

The company recently announced that it signed one Letter of Intent with revenue and six Memorandums of Understanding with some world-leading electronics manufacturers. At a period where companies across the globe were held in a momentary stasis in terms of business development, Amber saw this time as an opportunity to plan, explore product, development, scoping and contract terms.

Amber’s Solid-State Architecture

The development of solid-state architecture by Amber has enabled the better management and integration of security and control systems, circuit breakers, lighting fixtures, appliances, and dimmer switches. Appliances and electrical devices and components within homes and buildings will be connected in a free-flowing ecosystem through the internet of things (IoT).

Amber’s advanced Digital Power Management and Control system (DPMC) is an innovation in solid-state technology that allows the efficient running of power to highly sophisticated micro-controllers, processors, and RF devices directly from the AC main. Capacitors and magnetics are eliminated reducing component size, increasing efficiency, and reliability.

“Our electrical products partners see tremendous value in that Amber’s native intelligence in solid-state architecture delivers solutions to real industry problems, such as elimination of nuisance AFCI and GFCI trips, flickerless LED lights, non-sacrificial surge protection embedded in every powered product and even power cords, arc free electrical safety, robust energy awareness in buildings reducing or even eliminating phantom power, and more”, said Amber Founder, President and CEO Thar Casey in a news release

The company’s electrical products negate the need for mechanical moving parts that can potentially lead to hazardous electrical arcs and start fires, or suffer circuit breaks. Amber’s solid-state solutions can disconnect power faster (up to 3,000 times) than a physical circuit breaker can trip. Electrical power is able to be digitally regulated in the midst of machine learning algorithms software programs being securely housed.

Going Forward into 2020, Amber looks to fine-tune its innovations to achieve siliconization, offering more robust, efficient, cost-effective solutions.

“Amber’s achievement is historic in nature and offers the single best opportunity to quickly, safely and affordably upgrade every building’s existing electrical infrastructure to a solid-state architecture with embedded intelligence,” Casey said.
