Akros Silicon Hires Pete Klessel as VP of Worldwide Sales

Akros Silicon Inc. has appointed Pete Klessel as the company's Vice President of Worldwide Sales. Pete Klessel joins Akros to expand the company's reach into high growth consumer and communications markets where manufacturers face stringent requirements for improved power and energy management in their systems.

“Pete’s ideal combination of deep technical knowledge and outstanding customer advocacy has led to a successful track record selling into large strategic accounts,” said Elie Antoun, President & CEO of Akros. “He has extensive experience with power management products and brings a system-level sales approach that has helped him build high-quality customer and channel relationships that are an excellent fit to Akros’ power-system-on-chip (PSoC) solutions."

Before joining Akros, Klessel was Senior Director of Sales at Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) with responsibility for North America, Japan, Korea and the ASEAN region. Prior to MPS, he was Vice President of North America sales at Avago Technologies bringing innovative solutions to customer problems, resulting in $600M of annual revenue. Before Avago, he held progressively higher sales management roles at Integrated Circuit Systems (ICS), culminating in the appointment of VP Sales for North America prior to the company’s acquisition by Integrated Device Technology (IDT). Earlier in his career, Klessel held various sales, FAE and engineering roles at American Microsystems, Cherry Semiconductor and RCA Corporation. Klessel graduated with a B.S.E.E. from Villanova University.
