Accent Optical Technologies (Bend, OR) announced the acquisition of GaAsCode Ltd.'s (UK) intellectual property and know-how relating to GaAsCode's Pulsed IV Measurement Instrument. The acquisition was finalized on April 11, 2001, and the purchase price was not disclosed.

The GaAsCode Pulsed IV Measurement Instrument is a pulsed-current voltage measurement instrument for use in measuring FETs, HEMTs, HBTs, BJTs, lasers and photodetectors. Accent plans to incorporate this technology into its product line and officially launch the product in the third quarter of this year.

“This recent acquisition was the next logical step in the extension of the Accent product line," stated Bruce Rhine, CEO of Accent Optical Technologies. “We can now provide ourselves with a more complete solution."
