Zentro Elektrik Offers DC - UPS Systems for Safety Relevant Installations

New Products Aug 08, 2007 by Jeff Shepard

Zentro Elektrik GmbH announced that it is expanding its range of DC - UPS systems for supplying power to safety relevant installations with the GTLB/GTPB series. The ac-dc systems in standby parallel mode are designed for outputs from 250W up to 600W and fitted with batteries at the customer’s request. Additional dc-dc converters can be added to the system if more output voltages are required.

A battery control and monitoring module allows for control of the charging current and temperature control of the charge closing voltage. Over and above this, numerous monitoring and control signals are provided via relays, LED’s or potentiometers. Examples are a signal relay, if the charging voltage fails, to switch off the battery on it reaching the closing discharge voltage, to give advance warning of reaching closing discharge voltage with an additional adjustable threshold or individual limitation of the battery charging current to prolong battery life, and many more. LED displays and adjustable potentiometers provide for comprehensive signalling and the ability to adjust the maximum charging voltage or the defined point of battery switch-off.
