XPiQ Debuts KHQ030/KHQ040 Series DC Converters

XPiQ Inc. (Holliston, MA) expands its dc/dc converter product line with the addition of two new quarter brick series, the KHQ030 and KHQ040 Series. Both series accept an input-voltage range from 36Vdc to 75Vdc (48V nominal) and offer five different voltage outputs ranging from 1.2V to 3.3V. Other features include no minimum load requirements, a low profile of 0.417in and an industry-standard footprint available in both open-frame and baseplate versions.

The KHQ030 Series provides a high power density output of 30A with a high efficiency of 91 percent for 3.3V. The series offers full power up to 50°C with a 200 LFM airflow. The KHQ040 Series offers a high power density output of 40A with an efficiency of 89 percent for 3.3V. Full power up to 40°C with a 300 LFM airflow is available with the KHQ040 Series. Standard features for both the KHQ030 and KHQ040 Series include two million hours demonstrated mean time between failure, remote on/off with positive or negative logic, remote sense, and an output-voltage adjustment of ±10 percent. Each series has international safety agency approvals and carries the CE mark.

Pricing for 1,000 pieces is $60 for the KHQ030 and $72 for the KHQ040. Both series are currently in stock for small quantities with production volume available in four to six weeks ARO.
