Xicor Debuts X93156 and X93256 DCPs

June 07, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

Xicor Inc. (Milpitas, CA), a supplier of high-performance, mixed-signal integrated circuits, announced a family of non-volatile, linear taper, 32-tap, digitally controlled potentiometers (DCPs) with the introduction of the X93156 and X93256.

The X93156 and X93256 offer ultra-low power, single and dual DCPs at a competitive price to address new market needs for high-volume and space-constrained applications. The dual DCPs in the X93256 feature a three-terminal, 32-tap wiper with an independent up/down interface. Along with ultra-low power dissipation and supply voltage limits from 2.7 V to 5 V, the X93156 and X93256 also achieve less than ±0.2 least significant bit typical differential non-linearity.

Production samples are available in eight-pin MSOP (single) and 14-pin TSSOP (dual) packaging with 1,000-unit prices starting at $0.56 for the single and $0.95 for the dual.
