Wall Industries Unveils CG Series DC Converters

Wall Industries Inc. (Exeter NH) released its new CG Series of dc-dc converters, which deliver up to 30 W, and are packaged in an industry-standard 1 in x 2 in x 0.40 in enclosure. The CG Series offers a 2:1 input range of either 18 Vin to 36 Vin or 36 Vin to 75 Vin. Output voltages are available in 2.5 Vout, 3.3 Vout, 5 Vout, 5.1 Vout, 12 Vout and 15 Vout.

Housed in an industry-standard 1 in x 2 in package, the CG Series has the footprint and power capacity equivalent to a 1.6 in x 2 in package, saving 37.5% of the footprint area occupied by comparable products. The CG Series features remote on/off, output trim, efficiencies to 88%, soft-start, SCP and OVP, six-side shielding, 1,500 Vdc I/O isolation, lead-free construction, and a -40 °C to +105 °C case temperature operating range. The product is rated with a mean time betweenn failure of 600,000 to MIL-HDBK-217F.
