VPT Intros New DV200 DC/DC Converter Version
VPT Inc. (Blacksburg, VA) introduced a new version of its DV200 dc/dc converter. The new dual-output module of the DV200 provides up to 200W of output power in a standard half-brick size in three output configurations. Suitable for high-reliability applications such as laptop computers or ground-based military vehicles, the DV200 offers an affordable, immediate power conversion solution for military and aerospace programs requiring commercial-off-the-shelf components.
The new DV200 dual-output module features a wide input-voltage range of 16V to 50V; dual outputs of ±5V, ±12V and ±15V; power output from 50W to 200W; a high power density of approximately 80W per cubic inch; the ability to parallel up to five units to boost output power to up to 1,000W; the ability to cycle through the full specified military temperature range
of -55 to +100 degrees C; an under-voltage lockout feature to prevent system failure; and a radiation-immune magnetic feedback circuit.
The DV200 dual-output version meets MIL-STD-461C and MIL-STD-461D EMC requirements when used in conjunction with VPT’s line of EMI filters. Custom options for the DV200 dual-output version include specialized environmental screening, lower input voltages and other custom modifications at additional cost.
The DV200 dual-output version will be available from stock beginning in April 2002. Pricing is $347.90 per unit in quantities of 100. Single-output versions of the DV200 begin at $311 per unit in quantities of 100.
