Vishay Launches New X Series of MOSMICs

April 18, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Vishay Intertechnology Inc. (Malvern, PA) launched its second-generation family of dual-MOSMICs (MOS monolithic integrated circuits) that combine two automatic-gain-controlled amplifiers on a single chip. Rated for 5V operation, the new X Series dual-MOSMICs serve as drop-in and function-compatible upgrades to Vishay's previous-generation MOSMICs.

The dual MOSMICs offer a choice of typical transadmittance specifications: 24ms for the TSDF52424X/XR and TSDF02424X/XR, 30ms for the TSDF53030X/XR and TSDF03030X/XR, and 40ms for the TSDF54040X/XR and TSDF04040X/XR. All six devices feature a low noise figure of 1dB at 200MHz, enhanced typical cross modulation of 105dBmV at 40dB, and a reduced input capacitance as low as 1.7pF.

All six devices are packaged in a compact, SOT363, surface-mount package of 2.05mm x 1.25mm that allows reverse pinning and saves space. Samples and production quantities of the new dual MOSMICs are available now, with lead times of four to eight weeks for larger orders.
