Vishay Announces IHLP-2525CZ/5050CE-01 Inductors
Vishay Intertechnology Inc. (Santa Clara, CA) announced two series of Vishay Dale lead-free, high-current inductors that feature low losses at frequencies of up to 5MHz, low DCR values and a height profile that is said to be 30 percent lower than conventional solutions.
Designed for dc/dc converter and energy-storage applications, the devices are intended to replace taller, larger and/or lower-performing inductors enabling lighter, thinner mobile and desktop computers, servers, cell phones, digital cameras, GPS terminals, and other hand-held electronic products.
The IHLP-2525CZ-01 inductors have a footprint measuring 6.47mm x 6.68mm and a height profile of only 3mm. The IHLP-5050CE-01 devices occupy a 12.9mm x 13.2mm footprint, and have a height profile of 3.5mm.
The IHLP-2525CZ-01 Series exhibit inductance values ranging from 0.1µH to 4.7µH, and maximum DCR values of 1.7 milliohms to 40 milliohms at 100kHz. They handle maximum current ratings from 3.9A to 22A.
Inductors from the IHLP-5050CE-01 Series have inductance values of 0.47µH to 5.6µH, maximum DCR values from 2 milliohms to 18 milliohms at 100kHz, and current ratings from 6.5A to 18A.
Inductance tolerance is within ±20 percent. At full rated current, they exhibit an inductance drop of <10 percent. Alternative designs in the IHLP family have inductance ranging from 25nH to 15µH, with current ratings up to 48A.
