V-Infinity’s New SIP Converters Isolate to 6,000 Vdc

New Products Aug 17, 2006 by Jeff Shepard

V-Infinity announced that it has added a new line of 1W and 2W dc-dc converters providing an isolation voltage of 6,000Vdc. The RoHS compliant units offer fixed input ranges of 5 and 12V, +/-10% in a SIP style package. These unregulated, convection-cooled units are well-suited for applications requiring a high isolation voltage, including medical products, mixed analog/digital circuits, and test & measurement equipment.

With efficiencies as high as 78%, these units can operate at temperatures ranging from -40 to 85 °C without the need for derating or heat sinking. The VHS1 and VHS2 series deliver single output voltages of 5, 9, 12, and 15V while the VGDS1 and VGDS2 series deliver output voltages of +/-5, +/-9, +/-12, and +/-15V. OEM pricing starts as low as $3.75 per unit.
