Siliconix Intros 12 New 20V VDS/20V VGS MOSFETs

July 15, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

Siliconix Inc. (Santa Clara, CA), a subsidiary of Vishay Intertechnology Inc. (Malvern, PA), announced 12 new 20V VDS/20V VGS power MOSFETs in the thermally enhanced PowerPAK and D2PAK and conventional DPAK packages. The new devices offer low on-resistance and low on-resistance-times-gate-charge product. The new devices can handle up to 70A in the DPAK and 110A in the D2PAK, which extends their application beyond servers and computers to automotive systems.

The SUM110N02 03P D2PAK offers 20% lower on-resistance of 3.2 milliohms at 10V, while the SUM40N02-12P provides a low on-resistance x Qg product in the 20V VDS/20V VGS class of devices at 90. For DPAK-packaged devices, the new SUD70N02 04P offers 25% lower on-resistance, with a maximum rating of just 3.7 milliohms. The SUD50N02 12P, meanwhile, provides a low on-resistance x Qg product of just 90 among 20V VDS/20V VGS DPAK devices.

Samples and production quantities of the new power MOSFET devices are available now with lead times of 8 to 10 weeks for larger orders. Pricing for US delivery in 100,000-piece quantities starts at $1.
