SEI Electronics Intros New CSR Series Resistors

March 01, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

SEI Electronics Inc. (Raleigh, NC) introduced a new broad line of cost-effective, ultra-low resistance, surface-mount resistors in industry-standard 0402 to 2512 sizes. The CSR Series is used in applications requiring battery management circuitry for cell phones, personal digital assistants, laptop computers, medical devices, audio equipment and power supplies.

The CSR Series resistors are capable of achieving low resistance values from 0.001 ohms to 0.500 ohms, in tolerances to ± 1 percent. In the largest case size 2512, the CSR is capable of handling up to 2 W of power at 70 °C. Utilizing precision metal foil and metallurgical processes, the CSR resistors exhibit low inductance of less than 0.2 nH, making them suitable for use in high-frequency applications. The CSR Series also offers TCRs of less than ±100 ppm/°C and are capable of handling 30 A of current while operating in a temperature range of -55 °C to +150 °C.

Pricing for the CSR Series resistors is approximately $0.20 in quantities of 5,000, with delivery times from stock to six weeks. Samples are available immediately.
