Schaefer Expands Temperature Range of Sine Wave Inverter
Schaefer, Inc. has enhanced its AEP-1000R pure sine wave inverter with a –30°C to +60°C wide operating temperature range, making it a suitable choice for even the most extreme mobile, industrial, marine or military environments. The AEP-1000R Series is a 1U high 1KVA rackmount pure sine wave inverter, which delivers "clean" output power for powering sensitive loads and for improving ac equipment performance.
The AEP-1000R Series is available in three standard input configurations of 12Vdc, 24Vdc and the less frequently found 48Vdc. Outputs are available in 115 or 230Vac (50/60Hz) versions, which are regulated to +/-3% or better. A built–in, 4–6ms automatic bypass switch allows for redundant operation from utility power if the dc supply drops out.
All models in the AEP-1000R Series feature comprehensive protection circuitry and a digital display to monitor/indicate low input voltage, short circuit, input overvoltage, over temperature, overload and low battery. The display also indicates voltage, amperage, power and temperature. Efficiency is 86 - 92%, depending upon the model selected. EMI is minimized for reduced impact on other sensitive equipment. The slim size of 16.06" x 19.00" x 1.73" fits easily into 1U racks. Schaefer's full family of pure sine wave inverters also includes stand-alone modules starting at 700W of power, along with higher power 3-in-1 units that include a UPS and battery charger.
