RO Associates Debuts SynchroVerter SYV48-3-45-1

RO Associates Inc. (Sunnyvale, CA) announced the release of a new high-efficiency half brick with 48V input and 3.3V at 45A. The SYV48-3-45-1 uses synchronous rectification and proprietary planar magnetics to achieve efficiency up to 92 percent.

The SYV48-3-45-1 comes in the industry-standard package of 2.28in x 2.4in x 0.5in. Their high efficiency allows them to be operated without a heat sink up to 100 degrees C baseplate temperature. For more demanding environments or improved reliability, a thermal interface is provided to attach a heat sink.

Additional features include current limiting, short-circuit protection and transient response. Evaluation boards are available and the modules are UL, CSA, TUV and CE compliant.

Pricing for the SYV48-3-45-1 is $189 for single pieces and $175 for 100-piece quantities. Delivery is stock to six weeks ARO.
