RO Associates Debuts QV48-3.3-25-1 DC Converter

RO Associates Inc. (Sunnyvale, CA) announced the release of its new high-efficiency quarter-brick dc converter with 48V input and 3.3V at 25A, the QV48-3.3-25-1, which incorporates advanced techniques in synchronous rectification, switching, thermal management and automated production to achieve 90 percent efficiency at 3.3V.

The QV48-3.3-25-1 comes in the industry-standard package of 2.3in x 1.45in x 0.42in. The QuattroVerter™ module is available in both through-hole and surface-mount packages. The modules are high-efficiency, constant-frequency, isolated, low-noise converters with an advanced open-frame design that allows them to be reliably operated in a typical application with no heatsink. The modules include remote sense, positive and negative on/off logic options, clamping over-voltage protection, and a trim range of –20 to +10 percent. Additional features include current limiting, short-circuit protection and good transient response. Evaluation boards are available and the modules are UL/CSA/TUV and CE compliant.

Pricing for the QV48-3.3-25-1 in single-piece quantities is $89. In 1,000-piece quantities, the price is $69. Delivery is stock to six weeks ARO.
