Rhopoint Components Unveils New High-Current Shunt Resistors

New Products Aug 13, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Rhopoint Components (UK) has unveiled a new range of high-current shunt resistors. The new resistors are ideally suited for kilowatt-hour meters and other high-current, low-ohm shunts where a high degree of precision is needed.

The resistors are made from punched electron-beam-welded copper, manganin copper or aluchrome copper. Three new models are available, two are PCB-mounted and one is a busbar-mounted version. One of the PCB-mounted versions has convenient screw terminals, which allows the bus bar connections to be made to the printed circuit board.

Versions are available with resistance values down to 0.16mohm.
