Powercube Offers 3.3V Output Capability for TD Series of DC/DC Converters

August 15, 1999 by Jeff Shepard

Powercube (Chatsworth, CA) announced it is now offering a 3.3V output capability for its TD family of dc/dc converters. The TD Series converters operate at a fixed frequency of 375kHz, and are available for input voltages of 24, 48, 150 or 300V, and provide outputs of 3.3V with rated current of up to 60A. Output voltages can be trimmed using an integral trim pin from 65 to 110 percent, and peak output ripple is typically less than 1 percent.

According to Powercube, up to 20 of these units can be paralleled without the need for external components, trimming, booster modules or module matching. Switch frequency can be synchronized in such applications with converter or an external clock.

Commercial 30W TD Series converters with UL, CSA and VDE approval for an operating range from -20 to 100 degrees C are priced at $65 in quantities of 100. Versions for industrial (-40 to 100 degrees C) and military (-55 to 100 degrees C) temperature ranges are also available.
