Power Sources Unlimited Releases New Surface Mount DC-DC Converters

Power Sources Unlimited announced the release of its TES-5 Series of low profile, surface mount dc-dc converters, offering 5W of power in a 1.31" x 0.81" x 0.4" encapsulated package. The TES-5 Series features a 2:1 input range of 9-18, 18-36, or 36-75Vdc with single or dual outputs. Input to output isolation of 1500Vdc, short circuit protection and remote on/off are standard features. Operating temperature is -40 to +85°C, with full load achieved up to +71°C.

The units are RoHS compliant and are approved to UL/cUL 60950-1 standards. This dc-dc solution is claimed by the company to provide Class A EMI filtering, without the need for additional components. Further, the design is qualified for soldering in a high temperature lead-free reflow solder process. The TES-5 Series boasts a high efficiency of up to 85%, as well as a high MTBF.
