Power-One Debuts New SIS12 DC/DC Converters
Power-One Inc. (Camarillo, CA) announced its new SIS12 family of non-isolated, point-of-load, dc/dc converters. The single-output product family is comprised of 22 models with six output voltages, two input-voltage ranges and two mounting configurations.
Available in industry-standard, 2.5in x 0.75in packages, the buck-converters are available with outputs of 1.2Vdc, 1.5Vdc, 1.8Vdc, 2.1Vdc, 2.5Vdc and 3.3Vdc. Up to 12A of output current is provided from a single-board, open-frame package, which simplifies thermal management and reduces cost. The on-board power-system architecture flexibility is enhanced by the availability of two input-voltage ranges. The SIS12 products are optimized for operation with either 4.5Vdc to 5.5Vdc or 10.8Vdc to 13.2Vdc distributed power architecture, intermediate bus voltages.
Other features include 90 to 110 percent output-voltage trim, remote on/off, efficiencies in excess of 91 percent, output over-current protection, input under-voltage lockout, remote sense, and vertical- or horizontal-mounting options.
Pricing is $15 each in quantities of 1,000 units. Evaluation units of selected models are available from stock. Production quantities are typically available in six to eight weeks.
