Phihong Intros PSA-05R Series Power Adapters

Phihong USA Corp. (Fremont, CA) announced its new 5W PSA-05R Series adapter. The PSA-05R power supply features universal input, allowing it to operate for any worldwide line voltage from 90Vac to 264Vac. Various models provide a single output ranging from 3.3V to 12V.

Smaller than a business card and weighing only 4oz, the PSA-05R Series is ideal for small, lightweight and portable electronic products such as PDAs, digital cameras, MPEG players and other personal electronic devices.

"The PSA-05R power supply is one of the smallest switching adapters on the market in terms of output power, size and weight. It also features replaceable power plugs that have become very popular," said Keith Hopwood, vice president of marketing for Phihong USA. "This power supply is attractive for professionals who travel globally since they only have to carry one adapter with replaceable power plugs instead of different power converters, or desktops that need multiple cords for each country."

The double-insulated adapter is safety approved to UL1950 and meets CE (LVD and EMC) requirements as well as QAS, PSE, TUV and cUL requirements. The unit meets FCC Class B and EN55022B conducted noise limits, and the leakage current is less than 250µA.

The PSA-05R measures 2.8in x 1.8in x 1.4in and includes a 70in cable with a center-positive 2.1mm barrel connector. Pricing is $13.30 per 100 pieces.
