Payton Introduces Highest Power Planar Transformer

Payton has introduced what the company says is the highest Power Planar Transformer available for use in SMPS. The transformer is designed to accept 700 to 1000Vdc input, and have multiple high voltage outputs with a max of 10A for each output. The total output power is 90000W provided the transformer is mounted on a 50°C cool plate.

Switching frequency is 70Khz and the topology is Full Bridge. The weight is under 30 pounds with the maximum dimensions of 9 x9 x 5". The efficiency is better than 99.3% with more than 100A in the primary. The dielectric strength is 10kVrms. Different models can be designed in this configuration based on specific technical requirements.
