Parvus Debuts Power Vx DC/DC Power Board
Parvus Corp. (Salt Lake City, UT) announced its new 90W Power Vx dc/dc power-conversion board, which offers power-management features for PC/104-based computer systems. The supply delivers 5V at 18A, 12V at 2A and -5Vdc and -12Vdc outputs at 500mA. It operates over a range of -40 to +85 degrees C.
The Power Vx features greater than 90-percent operating efficiency, a wide input-voltage range (9V to 60V), improved temperature management and low noise. Intended for applications requiring intelligent power management, the Power Vx can read incoming voltage and local temperature, as well as automatically shut itself down. Manufactured to comply with the PC/104 form factor, the Power Vx is designed to work with any PC/104-spec circuit board and measures 3.5in x 3.775in and a stackable 104-pin/socket passive-backplane bus connector, which eliminates the need for motherboards. It adapts personal computer technology and bus architecture for use in embedded microcomputer systems.
The Power Vx is priced at $322 each in lots of 100.
