NMB Minebea Intros New 250R100 Radial Blower

April 11, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

NMB Minebea (UK) unveiled its new 250mmm backward-curved 250R100 radial blower, which is part of an extensive range of high-efficiency blowers specifically developed for the electronics and telecommunications markets. It is suitable for medium-pressure applications such as heat exchangers and cabinet cooling.

The 250R100 features a unique motor that mechanically protects the drive electronics, eradicating the need to encapsulate PCBs that are typically situated close to motor windings and subject to moisture and dust ingress. The 250R100 is fabricated from plated steel for low weight and strength, delivering up to 1.400m3/h in a free-air environment. The 250R100 model measures 252mm x 100mm, has a maximum static pressure of 630 Pascal, an airflow of 1.400m3/h, a voltage range of 36Vdc to 60Vdc, a maximum current consumption at 48V of 3A, a speed of 2.400U/min at 48V, and a temperature range of –40 to +60 degrees C, as well as precision ball bearings that guarantee an L10 life of 40,000 hours at 40 degrees C at full load.
