NetPower Technologies Debuts NAT/NAS Series Converters
NetPower Technologies Inc. (Plano, TX) announced its new line of non-isolated, high-efficiency, point-of-load (POL) converters, the NAT (SIP) and NAS (SMT) 12 A and 20 A Series converters, which have efficiencies up to 95%. The POLs are available with two input voltage ranges of 2.4 V to 5.5 V, and 8 V to 18 V. Output voltages range from 0.8 V to 8 V.
The new POLs are available in industry-standard footprints with pin-outs that are AustinLynx™ compatible. The outside dimensions of the POLs are 2 in x 0.24 in x 0.5 in for the NAT (SIP) converters, and 1.3 in x 0.53 in x 0.25 in for the NAS (SMT) converters. As a result, the converters achieve power density of up to 1,000 W/in³.
NetPower POLs have input under-voltage lockout, remote sense, overload and short-circuit protection, and over-temperature shutdown as standard features. The output-voltage trim feature allows the output voltage to be adjusted up to ±10% of its nominal set point. NetPower also offers optional output over-voltage protection that provides increased protection and system reliability for customers’ applications.
The NAS and NAT Series are priced from $11.50 for 12 A converters, and from $15 for 20 A converters in quantities of 1,000.
