Mean Well Expands Offering with 100W Low-Profile AC-DC Supplies

Mean Well Enterprises Co. Ltd. has extended its lower-to-middle wattage models by introducing the RSP-100 series. These 100W ac-dc low-profile single-output enclosed type switching power supplies feature active power factor correction. Compared to the preceding models of SP-100 series, RSP-100 series lower its height, reduces the size by 33%, and increases efficiency by 8%. The working temperature of -30 to +70 degrees C of the new units is a significant improvement compared with the -10 to +60 degrees C operating range for the SP-100 units.

Using free-air convection cooling, and offering 1U profile (30mm), RSP-100 series are especially suitable for end users who are looking for low-cost power supplies with energy-saving, noise free, and low profile installation features. With an 85- to 264-Vac universal input range, the RSP-100 provides output voltage options from 3.3- to 48-Vdc. They are rated for full output power from -30 to +50 degrees C and can continue to be operated up to +70 degrees C with a de-rating.

Other built-in functions include remote ON/OFF control, short circuit, overload, over voltage, and over temperature protections. All series comply with global safety regulations per UL, CUL, TUV, CCC, CB, and CE and also passed the TUV EN61558-2-16 certificates, which can fulfill the requirements of household electrical appliances. Applications include industrial automation system, mechanical and electrical equipment, household appliances, vending machines, or any systems that require 1U low profile installations.
