Mean Well adds 40W/60W AC-DC Green Medical Adaptors

In response to the high reliable power supply demands for medical market, Mean Well Enterprise Co. Ltd. has introduced the GSM40/60 series of 40W and 60W ac-dc desktop type medical adaptor featuring with high efficiency and low power consumption. These two series comply with international medical safety regulations per 2*MOPP level. Possessing extremely low leakage current (≦100 μA), 91% efficiency, and low no load power consumption (<0.1W), they can fulfill the high quality demands of medical applications and are good power solutions for “patient contact” medical applications.

The whole GSM40/60 series comply with the latest energy-saving regulations (level V), such as ErP step 2 of European Union and EISA 2007 (Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007) of US and so on. GSM40/60 series have similar PCB design and the same enclosure dimension. With 80-264Vac full range input and 5-48Vdc output voltage options, they are Class I power with earth ground pin and enclosed by UL 94V-0 rated plastic case, which can effectively protect users from electrical shock. Other standard functions include: LED indicator, protections for short circuit, overload, over voltage, and over temperature.

Furthermore, GSM40/60 acquired global safety certificates per UL, CUL, TUV, CB, FCC, and CE which greatly guarantee the safety and reliability for all different applications such as medical equipment requiring low leakage current, chemical and biological detection equipment, analysis facilities, and any electric systems have low “no load power consumption” requirement. These power supplies are offered with an optional lock-type DC plug. They measure 125x 50x 31.5mm and come with a 3-year warranty.
