MCG Announces New Series of DC Surge Protectors

MCG Surge Protection has introduced the new DCP-90 Series of 160kA DC Surge Protectors. They are designed to protect dc power equipment, such as inverters and charge controllers in photovoltaic systems from lighting or other industrial transients. High energy 40kA Metal Oxide Varistors and Specialized Fuses are optimized to conduct transient current without opening. The DCP-90's can provide protection for equipment using dc input voltage in the 100 to 600 Vdc range.

This Series uses dual redundancy and has status indicators on the front panels. They are packaged in NEMA 1, steel enclosures, which have dimensions of 7.25 x 4,25 x 2.75 inches, and each weighs 3.5 pounds. They are supplied with #10 AWG Cables. Delivery is from two to four weeks ARO.
