Maxim 125V, 3A, Half-Bridge MOSFET Drivers Are Pin Compatible With HIP2100IB/HIP2101IB
Maxim Integrated Products introduced the MAX15018/MAX15019 high-voltage, high-speed MOSFET drivers for high- and low-side n-channel MOSFETs. These devices feature a high-side (HS) pin that allows input voltages up to 125V, versus what the company describes as the 105V rating of competitive products. Pin compatible with the industry-standard HIP2100IB and HIP2101IB, the MAX15018/MAX15019 are well suited for ensuring sufficient safety margin in telecom power supplies that must withstand 100V or higher transient voltages.
The MAX15018/MAX15019 provide a 3A peak source/sink current; short, 35ns (typ) propagation delay; and 2ns (max) matched propagation delay between drivers, making them suitable for high-frequency power supplies. Several versions are available with the choice of TTL- or CMOS-compatible noninverting/noninverting or noninverting/inverting logic inputs. The logic inputs are protected against voltage spikes up to +15V, regardless of the V+ supply voltage. The MAX15018/MAX15019 are available in standard and thermally enhanced 8-pin SO packages and are fully specified over the -40 to +125°C automotive temperature range.
