Magnetek Inc. (Chatsworth, CA), a leading manufacturer of power conditioners for commercial fuel cells, announced its new HP600 multiple-output, power supply series, which supports high-availability computer and data storage applications where uptime is critical.

The HP600 Series provides 600 W of multiple-output regulated power in a compact design with up to six outputs, including a 5 Vdc, 1 A, independent standby output. The HP600 can configure up to 80 A from the regulated outputs at output voltages from 0.8 V to 12 V. Power scalability is simple, with active current sharing available on V1, V2, V3 and V4. Multiple power supplies can be wired together for redundant N+1 applications as well as providing higher system power. The companion rack, provides up to 1,800 W of total output power with internal paralleling of outputs, automatic current sharing, circuit breaker and easy connect/disconnet.

The HP600 measures 1.6 in x 5 in x 11.5 in, producing 6.52 W/in³ power density. System management and monitoring is accomplished by an optional I2C interface with interrupt capability. Evaluation units of the new models are available in two weeks, with production quantities available in eight weeks ARO. Pricing for the HP600 Series ranges from $368 to $442 in OEM quantities. Pricing for the HP600 Rack is about $550 in OEM quantities.
