LEM USA Unveils HOP/HTR/HT Series Transducers

August 19, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

LEM USA Inc. (Milwaukee, WI) introduced a new approach for sensors through the HOP, HTR and HT current transducer series. The new series of transducers are based on the open-loop, hall-effect technology principle, which allows ac, dc and pulse-accurate current measurements.

The current measurements are from a primary nominal current of 50Arms up to 2,000Arms. The transducers feature high performance, a compact design, easy split-core configurations, high EMC immunity, galvanic isolation, ±4V instantaneous voltage output, and a power supply of ±12V to 15V. The transducers are built in two parts, so they can be mounted around a bus bar or cable without any mechanical movement or disassembly of the bus bar or cable.

The new sensors are simple and quick to install, and are suitable tools for system retrofit and add-ons. The series of transducers meets the stringent requirements for current measurements in TELCOM power supplies, as well as other demanding applications. LEM offers a five-year warranty on their transducers.
