LCE Series
The Advanced Conversion Products division of Transistor Devices Inc. (Cedar Knolls, NJ) introduced the LCE Series. The series is a 1.5kVA dc/ac sinewave inverter that is scaleable to 30kVA, accepts a 48Vdc input and offers a variety of telecom-friendly features. The LCE Series features a wide input range that allows the inverter to operate within the charge and discharge limits of battery technology. According to Transistor Devices, the LCE inverter delivers fully isolated and precision regulated output capable of powering any load with a power factor from zero lead to zero lag. The inverters also utilize high frequency pulse width modulation (PWM) technology to synthesize a precision regulated sinusoidal output with less than one percent total harmonic distortion. The units are designed to be capable of parallel and synchronous operation and can be user configured to provide single or three phase ac output. In addition, N+1 redundancy is achieved with two or more inverters connected in parallel. The 1.5kVA unit weighs less than 12 pounds and is available in modular, rack mount or shelf mount (stand alone) enclosure. In quantities of 100, pricing starts at $1,250 each.
