Kuantech Introduces Compact 55W Desktop Switcher

Kuantech Power announced the KSCFH55 series of ITE safety approved desktop and wallmount ac-dc power supplies, which pack 55W of power into a highly compact 4.27 x 2.07 x 1.44" package.

The KSCFH55 series is suitable for battery charging, operates from 90-264Vac input, and offers single output models ranging from 5 up to 24Vdc. Units have ultra-low standby power consumption (<1W) and meet CEC Level IV requirements. Five different case configurations ranging from wall plug-in to desktop types brings extreme flexibility for use in worldwide designs.

Conversion efficiencies are up to 90%, depending on output voltage. Units require no internal cooling fan, thus ensuring quiet and reliable operation. Operating temperature is 0 to 60°C, with derating above 40°C. No minimum load is required, while still maintaining 5% regulation throughout the full load range. Ripple and noise is 2% maximum. Comprehensive overvoltage and overcurrent circuitry is employed to protect the end equipment and the power supply.

Units comply with the latest RoHS directives and are approved to TUV/UL standards. EMI performance is superb, meeting Class B limits for both radiated and conducted emissions.
