KOA Speer and Stackpole Introduce Chip Resistors

KOA Speer Electronics introduced the 0402 (1E) size of their RN73H line of ultra-precision chip resistors and Stackpole Electronics, Inc. released the CSRF0603 and CSRF0402 sizes to add to their broad current sense resistor product group. The CSRF0603 is available in resistance values from 5 to 10 milliohms in 1% tolerance and 75 ppm TCR. The CSRF0402 is available in resistance values from 10 milliohms to 15 milliohms in 1% tolerances and 200 ppm TCR. KOA Speer's thin-film (metal) chip resistors feature high heat resistance (up to +155°C) and ultra-high precision (±0.1%) tolerance. The RN73H offers enhanced moisture resistance (85°C ±2°C, 85% ±4% RH, 1000h) by the use of a special protective layer over resistive film construction.

Stackpole’s CSRF series is an ideal choice for downsizing portable electronics of all types. Lower resistance values allow for sensing higher currents more efficiently and help lower PCB temperatures for lower current levels. The CSRF is now available in sizes from 0402 up to 2512. Values range from 3 milliohms to 100 milliohms and in tolerances as low as 1%. Pricing varies with size, resistance value, and tolerance, and ranges from $0.07 to $0.30 for the most common values and sizes in full package quantities. The RN73H1E chip resistor from KOA Speer features a power rating of 1/16 (0.063) Watts and TCR values of ±10 ~ ±50 ppm/°C. The 0402 (1E) offers a precision tolerance of 0.1% ~ 1.0% and a resistance range of 10Ω ~ 300kΩ. Additionally, the RN73H1E is AEC-Q200 qualified and is available with lead-free terminations to meet EU RoHS requirements. Lead time is 12 weeks.
