Kemet Expands on AO-Cap Series Capacitors

Kemet Electronics Corp. (Greenville, SC) has extended the capacitance range and voltage ratings of its aluminum polymer capacitor line. The AO-Cap Series now has a capacitance range of 47µF to 390µF and voltage ratings of 2V, 4V and 6V. Available case sizes are D, V and X. The devices are suitable for extending battery life, and telecommunications and networking applications.

The 2V devices target applications such as dc/dc converters, hand-held test meters, low-voltage power supplies and modules, network component test equipment, and video graphics boards. The 4V and 6V devices are aimed at diverse applications that include Bluetooth devices, down-hole steering and data-acquisition equipment, and optical networking.

Samples are available. The devices are priced at $0.48 to $1.70, depending on case size and volume.
