New Products Mar 15, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

JumboTek Advanced Technologies Inc. (Taiwan) announced its new E010 JV surge suppressor, designed for use as ESD and EFT protection of I/O ports, keyboards, LCDs and sensors, which has bi-directional clamping characteristics, and can withstand high surge currents.

Offered with a ceramic (zinc) body and nickel/tin plated terminations, the product has voltage ranges of 5.5 Vdc to 120 Vdc and 4 Vac to 107 Vac, a temperature coefficient of clamping voltage at specified test current of <0.01 percent/°C, and a non-repetitive surge current of 800 A to 2,000 A (8 µs/20 µs waveform). The device has a leadless 2220 chip size, measuring 5.7 mm ±0.40 x 5 mm ±0.40 x 3 mm. The operating temperature range is from -55 °C to +125 °C, and the storage temperature range is between -55 °C and +150 °C.
