IR Presents New 50PF40 Standard-Recovery Diodes

International Rectifier Corp. (IR, El Segundo, CA) introduced a new family of standard-recovery diodes in a stud-mount, DO-5, plastic-cap case, which improves surge-current capability by as much as 40 percent. Typical applications for the new diodes include battery chargers, power supplies, welding machines, alternators, generators and machine tool controls.

The new diodes are drop-in replacements for many standard devices. The new 50PF, 80PF and 95PF diodes replace IR’s 40HF, 70HF and 85HF Series diodes, and are available in anode-to-stud and cathode-to-stud versions, as well as leaded and wire termination versions.

The new diodes are available immediately. Pricing begins at $3 each for the 50PF40 in 1,000-unit quantities.
