IR Intros the IR2157 600V Resonant Mode Controller IC

International Rectifier (IR, El Segundo, CA) introduced the IR2157 600V Resonant Mode Controller IC, which is designed to act as the core for a high frequency electronic ballast. The new IC incorporates a variable frequency oscillator with 600V half-bridge gate drive functions, and also offers features such as precision 50 percent duty cycle, programmable soft start and comprehensive protection modes.

Available in 16-pin DIP or SOIC packages, the IR2157 is priced from $1.50 in quantities of 10,000.
