Intersil Releases ISL6131/ISL6132 Supervisory ICs

New Products Aug 10, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

Intersil Corp. (Milpitas, CA) announced the release of two new voltage supervisory ICs, the ISL6131 and ISL6132. The tiny, near-chip-scale, packaged ICs monitor and report on voltage conditions for up to four voltage sources above 0.7V. The ISL6131 and ISL6132 are designed for a wide range of applications that include voltage bus monitoring for DSPs, and processors found in embedded control systems, graphics cards, intelligent instruments, network equipment, portable devices, set-top boxes, and telecommunications systems.

The ISL6131 and ISL6132 offer four-channel under-voltage monitoring (ISL6131); two-channel monitoring for over-voltage and under-voltage conditions (ISL6132); resistor-programmable, voltage-monitoring thresholds; a nominal supply voltage of 1.5V to 5.5V; a STATUS/PGOOD time delay of 150ms to ensure stability; open-drain status outputs for interface flexibility; VDD lockout and VDD and VMON glitch immunity; and a 24-pad, 4mm x 4mm, QFN package.

The ISL6131IR and ISL6132IR are available now in the 24-pad, 4mm x 4mm, QFN package rated for the –40°C to +85°C industrial temperature range. The price of each part is $2.65 per IC in 100-unit to 999-unit quantities. Other pricing is available upon request.
