Insight MEMEC/Alpha Intros AS204-80 SP4T Switch

Insight MEMEC/Alpha Ind. (Hong Kong) presented the new AS204-80 GaAs IC SP4T switch, which combines high isolation to provide increased signal path separation, reducing RF leakage with non-reflecting ports to eliminate the need for external termination while providing a 50-ohm output impedance.

Operating over the dc to 3.5GHz frequency range, the device provides a low loss for increased signal strength and enhanced system performance in base station switch matrices. The switch features a 5V integrated driver that simplifies circuit layout and reduces space requirements.

Specified at 0.9GHz, the switch exhibits 45dB isolation and 0.5dB insertion loss. At 1.9GHz, it offers 37dB isolation and 0.55dB insertion loss. The AS204-80 SP4T switch is offered in a miniature SSOP-16 plastic package.
