HP Launches New Tower UPS “G2” Models with USB and Rack-to-Tower Configuration
Hewlett Packard (HP) introduced the new Tower UPS "G2" models which are the next generation HP tower UPSs with USB support. The new models are the HP UPS T1000 G2, T1500 G2 and R/T2200 G2 respectively. These new UPSs are designed to provide advanced power protection with increased uptime for servers, storage, computer equipment, and network environments. In addition, the UPS R/T 2200 G2 can be converted easily from a tower to rack-mount configuration.
With an increased power rating, intuitive front panel display, Enhanced Battery Management (EBM), prioritized shutdown, and hot-swappable batteries, these UPSs are ideal for non-rack-based IT equipment in SMB and corporate remote offices. The G2 Tower UPSs protect IT equipment and customer's data from unplanned down time due to power outages, fluctuations, surges and spikes.
Bundled with HP Power Manager management software, these UPSs also feature serial and USB ports for data exchange with the host computer and remote shut-down. The new towers come with a three-year warranty and a $250,000 load protection guarantee. Power ratings for the UPSs are as follows: UPS T1000 G2 up to 1000VA and 650W, UPS T1500 G2 up to 1500 VA and 900W, UPS R/T 2200 G2 is rated up to 2200VA and 1600W. For greater system uptime, the R/T2200 also supports an Extended Runtime Module battery pack.
Sold through authorized dealers, the HP UPS T1000 G2, T1500 G2 and R/T2200 G2 are available now with U.S. Internet prices of $395, $485, $849 respectively. Pricing may vary by country or region.
